- Who we are
FTA’s five flagships and three cross-cutting themes are led by a set of senior researchers, known as flagship leaders and cross-cutting theme coordinators.
The program is operationally coordinated by a Management Team, which is chaired by the FTA director and includes the flagship leaders – currently two from the Center for International Forestry Research (CIFOR), and three from the World Agroforestry (ICRAF) – and representatives of the five other FTA strategic partners that do not lead a flagship: Bioversity International, the Tropical Agricultural Research and Higher Education Center (CATIE), Agricultural Research for Development (CIRAD), the International Network for Bamboo and Rattan (INBAR), and Tropenbos International (TBI).
The program is supported by a Management Support Unit (MSU), and is overseen by an Independent Steering Committee (ISC). To get in touch with the MSU or the ISC, please contact cgiarforestsandtrees@cgiar.org.
